ONG arrecada R$ 35 mil com venda de capacete 

usado por Kobayashi.

Sauber e Linkin Park anunciaram o sucesso da campanha que arrecadou fundos para ajudar na reconstrução do Japão, devastado por um tsunami em março do ano passado. Ao todo, o ONG Music for Relief já doou cerca de R$ 1,3 milhão para as vítimas da tragédia.

A Sauber e a banda norte-americana Linkin Park anunciaram nesta segunda-feira (2) que o capacete usado por Kamui Kobayashi no GP do Brasil, em Interlagos, leiloado pela ONG Music for Relief, foi arrematado por US$ 19 mil, ou R$ 35 mil. O casco foi pintado pelo músico do Linkin Park, Joe Hahn, um dos líderes da ONG. O nome do novo dono do capacete usado por Kamui não foi divulgado.

Hahn e Kobayashi se conheceram durante o fim de semana do GP de Cingapura, onde a banda se apresentou no F1 Rocks. O DJ apresentou o projeto da ONG Music for Relief para arrecadar fundos visando a reconstrução do Japão, que foi devastado por um tsunami e também por um terremoto em março do ano passado. A iniciativa agradou bastante o piloto nipônico.

O projeto foi amplamente apoiado pela Sauber, equipe de Kamui. O time suíço divulgou as datas de início e fim do leilão do capacete do piloto japonês e desde março liderou campanhas para arrecadar dinheiro para ajudar o Japão a se reerguer depois da tragédia, como um aplicativo disponibilizado para iPhone em que apresentou um álbum de fotos dos pilotos e equipes da F1.

Já a ONG Music for Relief foi criada em 2005 pela banda Linkin Park para ajudar vítimas de desastres naturais ao redor do mundo. Desde então, a organização arrecadou pouco mais de US$ 5 milhões, cerca de R$ 9,35 milhões, para ajuda às vítimas do furacão Katrina, em Nova Orleans, de um tremor de terra na China, de um surto de cólera no Zimbábue, além de auxílio às pessoas que sofreram com um terremoto no Haiti. A ONG já arrecadou também cerca de US$ 700 mil, ou R$ 1,3 milhão, em prol das vítimas do tsunami e do terremoto do Japão.

O portal G1 fez uma matéria sobre os lançamentos mais esperados de 2012, e citou o Linkin Park, que atualmente trabalha no seu quinto álbum de estúdio. Além deles, artistas como  Pearl Jam, Madonna, e Justin Bieber também lançarão novos álbuns neste ano.

Linkin Park
Produzido por Rick Rubin, o quinto disco de estúdio do Linkin Park vai “dividir opiniões”, de acordo com o vocalista Chester Bennington. Embora o músico tenha dito à revista “Rolling Stone” que “ficaria surpreso” se o novo trabalho não fosse lançado 2012, até o momento não foram divulgadas informações sobre título ou data de lançamento.

Essa é a Discografia de uma das maiores bandas de todos tempo: Linkin Park.
